Sophia started off with a pair of See Kai Run Smaller shoes which brought her through the transition from baby to walking toddler and thereafter the daddy bought a pair of Stride Rite shoes from US during his stint at Wharton which has lasted her for what must be almost a year now. The shoes are now extremely stinky and rather small so we stopped putting on socks for her even though they are sneakers, which added to the stinky-ness. So I decided its time to buy new shoes for her, and she liked this pair of Crocs Keeleys when we tried them on at the crocs shop, refused to take them off so I thought those were a safe buy. Off to Amazon to get a pair and when they finally arrived, she loved them for about 3 days, getting very excited whenever we put them on, shouting “mama buy new shoes for Sophia!”
She never walked very well in them I guess because they weren’t as soft as the very seasoned stride rites but she didn’t quite mind, until one day when we accidentally left the Keeleys on the car so put on the stride rites for her. She’s been completely rejecting her “new shoes” ever since! Its like she remembers how wonderfully comfortable (and familiar smelling?) the old pair of shoes were and just wants to stick to them. Getting worried about what we will do when the shoes really get too tight!
